The Outlook icon changes to indicate a new message immediately. Sometimes I notice that and go ahead and deal with the email, then 5 minutes later, the Action Center notification pops up and distracts and confuses me. I suggest you to perform the below steps and check if it helps. Perform a clean boot to check if any third party application is causing the issue, as clean boot helps in eliminating software conflicts.

Yes No. Sorry this didn’t help. Thanks for your feedback. I have not made any changes to my system. The only recent change is the Windows Anniversary Update.
I do have an update to my previous comment. The notification is not consistently delayed by 5 minutes – the delay ranges from 5 to 15 minutes. And the notification will still pop up even if I have already read or deleted the email. Choose where you want to search below Search Search the Community.
